Sullivan County

Sullivan County is part of the Kingsport–Bristol–Bristol, TN-VA Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is a component of the Johnson City–Kingsport–Bristol, TN-VA Combined Statistical Area, commonly known as the "Tri-Cities" region.

Morrell Cave (also known as Worleys Cave) is a Tennessee State Natural Area. The cave has a surveyed length of 4.4 miles, making it the second longest cave in East Tennessee and the 177th longest cave in the United States.

Sullivan County has several protected areas such as, Applachian Trail, Cherokee National Forest. State protected areas include Morrel's Cave State Natural Area, Rocky Mount State Historic Site, and Warrior's Path State Park.

Washington County

Washington County is part of the Johnson City, TN Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is a component of the Johnson City–Kingsport–Bristol, TN-VA Combined Statistical Area, commonly known as the "Tri-Cities" region.

The fastest-growing county east of Knoxville, it is home to East Tennessee State University.

Knox County

Knox County is a county in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2010 census, it is the third-most populous county in Tennessee, and the 153rd-most populous county or county-equivalent in the nation. Its county seat is Knoxville, the third-most populous city in Tennessee.

Knox County is included in the Knoxville metropolitan area.

The county is at the geographical center of the Great Valley of East Tennessee. Near the heart of the county is the origin of the Tennessee River at the union of the Holston and French Broad rivers.

Johnson County

Johnson County is a county located in the U.S. state of Tennessee. As of the 2010 census, the population was 18,244.[2] Its county seat is Mountain City. It is the state's northeasternmost county, sharing borders with Virginia and North Carolina.

In terms of average elevation, Johnson County is one of the highest counties (if not the highest) in Tennessee. The county is home to the two highest communities in the state: Trade, at 3,133 feet, and Shady Valley, at 2,785 feet. Mountain City is the highest incorporated city in Tennessee, at 2,418 feet. The lowest point in the county is Watauga Lake, at an elevation of 1,959 feet.

Greene County

Greene County is a county located on the eastern border of Tennessee.

Carter County

Carter County is an organized county with local government and public services. Housing options include single-family homes, apartments, and rural properties. The area has public schools, community centers, and local shops that meet everyday needs. Outdoor spaces include parks, trails, and waterways available for recreation and conservation. Major roads and regional connections make commuting to nearby cities practical.

Hawkins County

Hawkins County sits in northeast Tennessee with Rogersville as the county seat. The area has a long history dating back to the 18th century and includes several preserved historic sites. Rolling hills and wooded areas meet farm fields and shoreline along Cherokee Lake. The local economy mixes small manufacturers, service businesses, and agriculture. Roads from the county provide easy access to the nearby Tri-Cities region for jobs and services.
